dYdX DYDX

dYdX is ranked #264 by market capitalisation, at 117.86M $. Market capitalisation is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with both — a coin can climb the ranking without its price rising, simply by issuing more.

846.1 M DYDX are in circulation, which is 84.6 % of the declared maximum. The remainder enters the market on the schedule written into the protocol, and until it does, the circulating figure is what market capitalisation is computed from — not the cap.

Over the last twelve months the price of DYDX fell by 78.3 %. That is the change of the quote itself and says nothing about what comes next: crypto drawdowns of tens of percent within a year are ordinary, not exceptional.

dYdX is the native coin of its own blockchain: transaction fees in that network are paid in it, and its issuance is set by the protocol rather than by a contract on someone else's chain.
