Question 1

What is The Sandbox (SAND)?

Accepted Answer

In The Sandbox the world is assembled from voxel blocks, and a built-in editor lets users create games and scenes without coding. LAND parcels belong to users as NFTs, while SAND pays for purchases, rentals and event access.

Question 2

How many SAND will there ever be?

Accepted Answer

The maximum supply is capped at 3.00 B SAND.

Question 3

Where is The Sandbox traded?

Accepted Answer

We track 3 trading pairs for SAND; the full list with venues is on the coin's "Exchanges" tab.

Question 4

How far back does the The Sandbox price history go?

Accepted Answer

Our database holds 2,248 days of daily price history for SAND.

Question 5

What is The Sandbox ranked by market capitalisation?

Accepted Answer

The Sandbox is ranked #189 by market capitalisation, at 197.73M $. Market capitalisation is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with both — a coin can climb the ranking without its price rising, simply by issuing more.

Question 6

How much of the SAND supply is already issued?

Accepted Answer

2.94 B SAND are in circulation, which is 97.9 % of the declared maximum. The remainder enters the market on the schedule written into the protocol, and until it does, the circulating figure is what market capitalisation is computed from — not the cap.

Question 7

How has The Sandbox performed over the year?

Accepted Answer

Over the last twelve months the price of SAND fell by 75.6 %. That is the change of the quote itself and says nothing about what comes next: crypto drawdowns of tens of percent within a year are ordinary, not exceptional.

Question 8

Is The Sandbox a coin or a token?

Accepted Answer

The Sandbox is a token issued on the Ethereum network rather than a coin of its own blockchain. Practically that means transfers are paid for in the network's own currency, and the token's fate is tied to that network as well as to its own project.
