Falcon USD USDF

Falcon USD is a synthetic dollar token minted against assets handed to the protocol: stablecoins and volatile crypto accepted with a coverage margin. It is not a claim on a bank deposit but an obligation of the protocol, backed by whatever sits in its vaults. Over-collateralisation means a position is force-closed when the collateral falls.

A holder can keep the token as a unit of account or move it into a yield-bearing form that accrues the result of the strategies the protocol runs on the backing. The risk sits in market rather than banking territory: collateral quality, hedging discipline and the completeness of the issuer's reporting decide it.

The questions to ask are the same for the whole class: which assets are accepted as collateral and at what margin, who verifies that the backing exists, and what happens in a wave of redemptions. The project is young and less about it can be verified independently than for mature stablecoins, so this entry describes only the design principle.

Backing is over-collateralised crypto rather than a bank deposit, and less about the protocol can be verified independently than for mature stablecoins.
