State Duma deputy reports a 10% increase in healthcare spending in 2027

The draft federal budget for 2027-2029 provides for steady growth in healthcare funding, Leonid Ogul, a deputy from United Russia, said at a meeting of the Duma committee on health protection. "In 2027 healthcare spending will amount to 8.9 trillion rubles, a 10% increase compared with the previous period, and by 2029 it will reach 10.1 trillion rubles — that is 25% more than the 2026 figure," he said. "This is especially important amid sanctions pressure, an extremely difficult foreign policy situation, the conduct of the special military operation and significant spending on the country's security."
